This is a specific type of translation that is subject to additional rules and restrictions. Given that the translated text is inserted into software source code, it needs to be extracted, translated, and re-inserted in its original location. In doing so, it is usually necessary to take into account the length of the original text string and to be familiar with relationships between individual menu levels of the program itself and its linkages. This type of translation requires not only knowledge of the language and the given topic, but also the ability to use the reference software. Software is translated with modern tools such as Passolo.
The localized software is prepared directly for application in a different language environment. In addition to the localized user interface, there is also user documentation, installation manuals, administrator’s manuals, websites, help texts, etc.
